Road to Legion #3: 91 and counting!

Just a quick update to inform myself and that one creepy paedophile reading this blog that I've reached level 91 and am currently flying to my next quest hub in Shadowmoon Valley classic or 1.0 is 2.0... the one in Draenor feggit. topkek XD

I feel... Invincible!

Was busy on my Paladin when I looked at the time and had 20 minutes left before weekly instance locks reset. I rushed on over to Icecrown Citadel and mercilessly slaughtered my way to the Frost Wing, alas, by the time I had reached Sindragosa (2nd last boss) it was already too late! So I persevered and downed the bastard Arthas for the 21st time...

21 again... k no moar ICC runs from now on!

Road to Legion #2: Drow Ranger ready for some cataclysmic shenanigans

[I mean Vpaladin of course the level 80 Danky Platehealer]... in other news it seems Traxex ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) the Drow Ranger has been hired by the Brunhildans to become a warrior. We'll just have to see how that goes. But now the true question is... Goboro Reef or Moonshade Highlands? I mean Vashj'ina or Mount Hyjinx? Either way I hope to git dis boring arse warrior-wannabe class to 100 ASAP so that I may begin levelling my magician or presbyterian... hmm... or perhaps my drood.

Also I just downed Krol the Blade for the 5th time and got a shoddy blue item. Where's mi damned [Elixir of Arcane Knowledge] dang it? 1 out of 5 ain't so bad actually given how it's a 10% chance to drop from dis guy.

Poor level 90 Worgen was hiding in the shadows until I told him that the gig was up and that Krol had been slain for the bazillonth time. Dude just needs to set up shop and start mass producing them elixirs; 'd make him a bazillionaire.

How to Fall into a State of Depressive Rage a.k.a fuuu Obsidiana of Dawnbringer

So I'm camping Vrogue (level 100 Midget Thief) at the NE corner of the Dread Wastes waiting for the servers to restart hoping that Krol the Blade will be an easy snag but before then I hopped onto other servers to see if he was up or not. The very first server I went to beyond my own he was just dispatched of and so I panickingly went back to my own server of Badoran.... lo and behold some arsetwat had just anally probed him. I may not know you [Obsidiana of Dawnbringer] but with all the sincerity that I have to muster...

Revisiting Torelien (Minecraft)

An expansion of the roads has been approved and
several outposts are currently under construction.

'Tis been months since I had last laid any blocks upon this Vanilla Minecraft world. In particular this settlement, tentatively called Torelien, was the basis for the layout of the roads and outpost settlements. Ah yes the square huts and roofs indeed (f*ck you JDK) but yes I would love to polish up this settlement when I get the chance. The lore behind this settlement is based upon a particular region of my own fantasy world albeit heavily modified for the Minecraft-esque feel. Sorry but ya gotta keep it PG-12 for the kids yo! We all know that Minecraft players are all lil kids; true story. Kappa ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Nestled within the Verillan woods in the heart of the West Thyrrian landscape is Torelien - named in honour of the goddess of agriculture: Torelia. Though it started out as a quaint fishing village it eventually attracted the attention of the Miner's Guild of Granun which, in partnership with the dwarves of the Darkstone clan, sent emissaries after news had spread of the discovery of various rare ore deposits, none more prized than orbenite. Mining operations have since begun but heavily restricted and the mayor has placed a quota on visitors from outside the region pending a review on what the effects of serious mineral exploitation would have upon the town - or at least that's the official word. Mayor Thanik once lived amongst the dwarves albeit of another faction (the Orben Wheel) so there may very well be a tinge of resentment for the Darkstone clansmen. Nonetheless the coin that it would bring to the town has sparked a move from some locals to form their own miner's guild.

News of the mineral-rich seams has also attracted the attention of bandits who have shifted their sights from the lowly highwayman routes to this potential bonanza town. The locals are not yet weary of this threat but if plans to expand the mining operations are approved, it could very well threaten the town's safety and security as they are practically defenceless. To combat this an emissary entourage has been dispatched by the vice-mayor to no less than Port Tarazul and Granun to seek recruitment for the proposed "Town watch" which would be a massive upgrade from the current militia force which can barely seem to keep the local wildlife out sometimes.

Well that wraps it up for now as it's approaching 4 am... why am I still on?

Road to Legion #1: The Derptastic Levelling Adventures of Vpaladin

Yep it's almost that time again; the time when every Warcraft-loving nerd and diva dives back in for last minute preparations pending the upcoming launch of the new expansion pack (Legion). Nigh is the time when the servers are overloaded with trigger-happy folks who will surely not block up the quest-givers and shower everyone with their friendliness. We're not too far away now (time flies so quickly when you're lost).

"You are not prepared!" rings true for right now I'm just blabbering away while my Paladin is mid-air above Zul'drak. Earlier today Vpaladin was only level 63 and prancing about in Hellfire Peninsula. The other day I got lucky and 1) managed to tag Krol the Blade in front of another sucker and 2) actually had the RNGesus endow me with a first drop [Elixir of Arcane Knowledge] which bestows upon a character a boon to their experience gains by 300% (4x normal XP) for up to 1 hour.

So I headed on off to Zangarmarsh and grinded away at all the quests I could. Thankfully there were easily 20-odd quests plus a few additional ones as part of my Underbog dungeon run. So I began by entering the Underbog instance and immediately popped my elixir after which I headed west over to Orabor Harborage to turn in a number of quests. By the time I was flying east to the other questing hubs I was already 64 and after turning in the rest of the quests I hit 68 and it was off to Northrend for me. I queued up for a dungeon (in DPS spec of course, derp) and as retribution for that mistake I found myself abandoning the dungeon after a first pull wipe by the damned tank.

In Northrend I headed on over to Valiance Keep where I managed to sneak in about a dozen quests or so and by the end of the hour I had reached level 72... then I decided f*ck it and spent 2,000 gold on an [Elixir of the Rapid Mind] which is similar to the other one but only lasts 15 minutes... oh and did I mention it only lasts 15 minutes and costed 2,000 gold? Yeah I only barely snuck in another 2 levels after grinding and turning in roughly 20 quests in Dragonblight. So yeah now I'm hovering over Thrym's End in Zul'drak writing this sh*t for some reason. I'm sitting at 96% into level 75 or about 1 bar short of level 76.


In my great derpiness I realised only afterwards that the 4 pet battle dailies I did on my Rogue, hoping to score some much needed bonus XP, had to be completed via the Quest Log on my Paladin. Hopefully I'll be able to get this boring arse toon to 85-ish by the end of tomorrow and then full steam ahead to 100 by the end of the day after; if not I'll eat a bunch of damned cookies. >_O
